This piece was done for a package illustration for the Star Wars miniatures line. I used acrylic for the loose underpainting washes and then used quite a bit more oil on top for this one... oil with generous amounts of painting medium to slide around a little more than I usually do. It was fun... I think I'll do it more often.

wonderful muted colors with the red circle popping out, this is a nice piece: very moody in its portrayal. It's a good way to show such a popular character from a slightly different angle.
I love the black and red armor. I would love to see more of Luke as a Jedi but more armored and hooded and stuff like the characters in the game The Old Republic some of the later progression Jedi armor in that is badass!
